Cross‑ocean sea transportation usually takes several weeks. Metal goods face multiple risks during shipping: salt‑fog moisture from marine air may cause surface rust; collision and extrusion in container may bring scratches, deformation and other surface damage. Especially for high‑value nickel‑based alloy materials, surface damage will cause great economic loss. Professional seaworthy export packaging is essential to guarantee goods arrive at destination in good condition.
Wuxi Dasheng Alloy Steel has rich experience in exporting stainless steel and nickel‑based alloy products including coils, strips, sheets, pipes, profiles and wires. We formulate targeted packaging schemes for different product forms.
For steel coils and strips: anti‑rust paper and plastic protective film are wrapped around coil surface to isolate moisture and salt mist. Then the whole coil is fixed on heavy‑duty export wooden pallets, to avoid rolling and collision inside the container.
For steel sheets and plates: individual sheets can be separated by protective paper to prevent surface scratch. Stacked plates are fastened firmly on wooden pallets with binding straps. The whole pallet is wrapped by waterproof plastic film.
For pipe products: pipes are bundled properly. Both pipe ends will be capped to avoid foreign matter entering pipe inner cavity and protect pipe thread or end face from collision damage. Bundled pipes are secured on pallets for container loading.
All wooden pallets used for export comply with international fumigation requirements, to meet customs quarantine demands of most importing countries.
Some buyers may ask: why cannot we use simple packing for sea shipment? Simple packaging may seem to cut cost, yet once rust or scratch occurs during ocean transit, the loss of high‑value alloy material will far exceed the saved packaging expense. For nickel‑alloy products with high unit price, we adopt stricter protection standards during packing procedures.
We will mark necessary shipping marks outside each package according to customer requirements, including item number, quantity, weight and other shipping information for convenient receiving and warehouse management after goods arrive at port.
Packaging solution can also be adjusted according to special customer requirements. If you have special demands for cargo protection or shipping marks, please notify us before production completion. Our team will arrange suitable packing for your stainless steel and nickel‑alloy orders.
